This helmet is a replica of the helmet Rossi wore at the Grand Prix of Community of Valencia, Valencia on Sunday, November 6th, 2005. To celebrate retaining his world championship title, Rossi had a custom designed helmet created by Aldo Drudi that featured a cartoon ‘zoo’ of exotic animals, as well as his trademark sun and moon motifs. A bright red phoenix can be seen on the rear of the helmet rising towards the sun, and a hippo sits on the top facing forwards. Various other cartoon birds can be see towards the top of the helmet, while the base features sea-life like fish and dolphins. This helmet is very rare and was made in limited numbers and are nearly impossible to find on the open market today as most are in private collections. This helmet has been signed on the visor on July 27th 2007 at the Lugna Seca speedway in California USA. |
